1. Blogging solely for money
Each time a new forthcoming blogger discovers that best bloggers are generating income online they think that it’s very simple to generate income. If it was the situation then everybody will be blogging. If you’re just blogging to create money then you definitely will fail to do this. In reality, actually everybody really wants to make cash by blogging but you need to first adore what you do to make money doing the work. You need to be passionate regarding blogging.
Many people think that blogging pays off immediately. They’re wrong. Any business needs time to settle and make good money. So, if you come into blogging just for making money, then it’s not the place for you.
2. Choosing Inappropriate Niche
In the event that new writers want to make money from their blogs, the next typical mistake these people make is actually falling to the wrong market. They will begin a weblog and get into a niche they know small or absolutely know nothing about. They plunge into the blogging business without noticing anything. Basically blogging is really easy if you begin a blog upon something you know about, like love things or on things that you can say you’re an expert.
Also, all niches do not pay equally on all income sources. As an example, Google Adsense can do good with health related blogs. And on other hand Affiliate marketing will be good for blogs related to Sports materials or chemical fertilizers. It’s all about blending. When you get into your favorite niche, research about money making opportunities and adapt accordingly.
3. Copying articles from other blogs
After you choose a wrong niche of which you are nothing aware about, then a mistake which you would subsequently make is always to copy articles from other blogs related to your niche. It could be considered that as a fresh blogger you would like to have the articles indexed on the front pages of Yahoo! or Google, but you’ll not be able to accomplish this if you copy others’ ideas.
Another factor is you will eventually drop visitors since they will know in the later part that you are just copying others’ details. Also, when you don’t rank well in search engines for your targeted keywords, you will not afford blogging as you won’t be making quality bucks.
4. Using Free Hosting
There’s nothing wrong in hosting blogs at Blogger or WordPress.com. But, when you register at sites like x10hosting for free web hosting, then that’s not a good path you’re moving on. Web hosting is an investment you’re making for your business. And when you invest something into your business, it will surely gift you something in return, maybe not immediately, but sometime in the future. As a newbie, you can start with Blogger or WordPress. But as your visitors flourish, it is recommended that you move to Shared web hosting or VPS/Dedicated servers.
Also, as a new internet marketer, it is most recommended that you buy a good web host at the start itself. Because in marketing, you don’t have a single website.
5. Miscellaneous Mistakes
The other few mistakes include using a not-so good graphics design for your blog. Many visitors don’t come back or subscribe to your blog because of dull design.
Also, you must interact with other bloggers. This will also help build good relations with fellow bloggers.
Thirdly, you must use social bookmarking sites to share your content and get more traffic. Build Facebook page for your blog, create a Twitter account and follow people of your niche.
Do some basic SEO like Image optimization, keyword optimization & Post title optimization. This will help you rank good in search engines.
Conclusion
It’s easy to travel a path when you know where it’s leading. I hope this post helped a newbie blogger like you to fix your mistakes.
And if you’re a professional blogger, make sure to give feedback on this post. If I left out anything, feel free to tell that also.
