Yesterday Apple Store was down and we knew something was coming up. And yes, Apple launched new iMac with Quad Core Processors.

Apple iMac with Quad Core

Here are some features of the new iMac:

Quad Core Power

The new iMac comes loaded with Quad-core Intel Core i5 and i7 processors that make it nearly 2x faster than the previous generation. It’s supposed to be the most powerful all-in one yet.

Lightning-fast data transfer

iMac is built with the Thunderbolt technology that lets you connect high-performance peripherals such as external drives to a single port. And you can achieve data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps.

All-new AMD graphics

The new iMac features a next-generation AMD Radeon HD graphics processor that gives you graphics performance up to 3x faster than before. Good for Gaming and Image-Editing stuff.

FaceTime HD camera

The new iMac features a FaceTime HD camera for full-screen HD video calls that are astonishingly crisp. The camera supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to a 30-inch display (2560 by 1600 pixels) on an external display.

The new iMac comes with Mac OS X Snow Leopard pre-installed. Prices start from $1,199.

I can’t help it, but every time Apple launches something new, I just want to buy it.

I already own an iMac 24″, and it’s working fine, but now I want the new one 🙂
