About two weeks back, I talked about TPSIM unlock solution for iPhone 4S. A team of Chinese hackers, Chinasnow, has designed TPSIM. BeijingiPhoneRepair.com is already taking pre-orders of TPSIM for $84.95.
ApplenBerry was the first one to release Gevey sim for iPhone 4 to unlock basebands 02.10.01, 03.10.01 & 04.10.01. Now, ApplenBerry has also released Gevey Ultra S, which unlocks Apple iPhone 4S.
This new Gevey Ultra S works with the following iPhone 4S basebands:
- 1.0.11
- 1.0.13
- 1.0.14
This means Gevey Ultra S will work with iOS 5.0, iOS 5.1 & iOS 5.1.1 on iPhone 4S.
How Does Gevey Ultra S Unlock iPhone 4S?
You don’t need to dial 112 on your iPhone 4S to get the network. Apple has patched the 112 exploit in the latest basebands. Gevey Ultra S takes advantage of a new exploit. As mentioned on ApplenBerry’s page, Gevey Ultra S comes with a reset SIM. The exact details of the exploit are not given out yet. You just need to insert a GSM Sim along with Gevey Ultra S & your iPhone 4S will connect to the network within 30-50 seconds. The unlock is completely untethered. Even after you reboot the iPhone, you’ll connect to the network automatically.
One drawback is that if you want to change your GSM sim, you must reset the Gevey Ultra S. This can be done using the reset SIM provided along with Gevey Ultra S. After reset, you can put a different GSM sim & enjoy the unlock.

This is a plug and play solution. Gevey Ultra S is powered by F981 chip which requires 3V battery consumption. This prevents heating of iPhone 4S & provides better performance than counterfeit Gevey sims. Also, there’s no need to jailbreak iPhone 4S to use Gevey Ultra.
EDGE & 3G Data work fine after enabling Data Roaming.
Gevey Ultra S works on GSM iPhone 4S. ApplenBerry is still working on some bugs to support Gevey Ultra S on CDMA iPhone 4S.

Gevey Ultra S is available for pre-ordering on ApplenBerry.com for $54.95. It’ll be shipped between 3rd March – 7th March, 2012.
ApplenBerry has also mentioned that they’re stil working on 04.11.08 baseband unlock for iPhone 4 users.

No, it isn’t.
Seems another competitor has already unlocked the iphone 4S, also the price is far cheaper than the Gevey ultra S. Check this R-Sim card.
