The iOS 5.1 update is also available OTA (over the air). If you’re already on iOS 5.x.x, you can go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and download the iOS 5.1 update.
Note to Jailbreakers & Unlockers
If you rely on jailbreak and unlock (Gevey or ultrasn0w), then you must stay away from this update till the iOS hackers find a way to jailbreak iOS 5.1. If you directly update your iPhone to iOS 5.1 via iTunes, you’ll update the baseband & then you’ll lose the unlock.
Stay tuned for more updates about iOS 5.1 jailbreak & unlock.
