Apple seeded iOS 5 Beta 6 to developers a couple of days ago. And iH8sn0w was quite fast to update sn0wbreeze to support iOS 5 Beta 6. Sn0wbreeze allows preservation of older baseband so that users can enjoy ultrasn0w or GEVEY unlocks.
My Twitter friend, @AbhirYadava1994 tweeted me a screenshot showing iOS 5 Beta 6 running GEVEY sim.
If you’re a Apple developer and have access to beta IPSWs, use the Alternative method listed in this Pastie to make GEVEY sim work with iOS 5 Beta 6.

Interesting…I thought I read somewhere that Gevey sim does NOT work on custom IPSW (?) So if you build a custom IPSW using Snowbreeze, you have no problem activating the phone (i.e. phone locked to ATT but you’re using T-Mobile SIM) as well as no problem recognizing Gevey SIM ?
Thanks. Very informative article.
yes its true gevey works i did on my iPhone 4 iOS 5 beta6 baseband 4.10.01.
just you have to search carrier manually and select it.
