Blogging is a virtual business which requires much networking. Bloggers who fail to network will soon be out of business. Networking, if done correctly, has many benefits. It will allow you to:

- Learn how to improve your blog
- Have fun!
So how can you get started? The following are some great ways of networking.
Many people don’t think of LinkedIn when it comes to meeting new people or promoting a blog. However, LinkedIn offers a great group feature. Once you have set up your profile, go to the groups directory. Look for keywords that are relevant to your blog. Some groups require approval to join, while others are open. Once you join a group, you can initiate or participate n discussions taking place. However, don’t just paste a link to your blog and leave. Build relationships with people before talking business.
Twitter is one of the best places for bloggers to network. There are numerous conversations always going on that you can participate in. Another great way of networking on twitter is through chats. One of the best chats, particularly for bloggers, is #blogchat. This is a great place to network and learn much from other bloggers.
Bloggers can network on Facebook through groups, as well as pages. Find a group or page that is relevant to your niche and participate in some discussions.
Commenting
Once you meet people in various forums, go further and begin posting comments on their blogs. This way, you are not only interacting with them, but also with their readers. This opens up more doors for business. Continue doing this as you meet more new people.
Guest posts
Guest posting is useful in two ways. It will direct traffic to your blog, as well as introduce you to some readers you have never met before. By visiting their blogs and responding to their comments, you can build relationships with them. They are very likely to return the favor. Therefore, guest posting is crucial for your blog’s success.
Sharing
Sharing other people’s content with your readers is another great way of networking. The blogger whose content you have shared is very likely to visit your blog in return, and might also find something interesting to share. Having your content shared will then result in building more traffic to your blog.
